PHILLY.COM: The Philadelphia Flyers scored five straight goals in overcoming  3-1 deficit to down the injury-riddled Detroit Red Wings 6-3. Sean Couturier led the way with two goals and two assists for the Flyers.  The Wings got some good news, as Pavel Datsyuk (concussion) is symptom-free and should return soon, while defenseman Danny DeKeyser (separated shoulder) could come off LTIR on December 14.

NBC SPORTS: The breakdown of NY Rangers goalie Henrik Lundqvist’s new contract has been revealed, with the goalie receiving $11 million in his first season and $5.5 million in the final season.

SPECTOR’S NOTE: Imagine the salary variance for Lundqvist under the previous CBA. It’s a good bet that deal would’ve been longer than seven years to bring about an even lower cap hit. 

USATODAY.COM: Columbus Blue Jackets goalie Sergei Bobrovsky has been sidelined 4-5 weeks with a groin strain.

MIAMI HERALD: Florida Panthers GM Dale Tallon said his club would not release forward Aleksander Barkov to participate in the upcoming World Junior Hockey Championships. In other Panthers news, they drew their smallest announced attendance in six seasons in their recent home game against the Ottawa Senators. The announced attendance was 10, 074, though the actual fans in the stands was around 8,000.
