NEW YORK DAILY NEWS: Mats Zuccarello scored the game’s only goal and Henrik Lundqvist turned aside 38 shots as the NY Rangers nipped the Detroit Red Wings 1-0. The loss spoiled a terrific effort by Red Wings goalie Jimmy Howard, who made 4y saves.

THE TENNESSEAN: Roman Josi’s goal in the seventh round of a shootout lifted the Nashville Predators to a 4-3 victory over the Philadelphia Flyers. Shea Weber starred for the Predators, scoring a goal and setting up two others.

MERCURYNEWS.COM: Rookie goalie Alex Stalock earned his first-ever NHL shutout helping the San Jose Sharks blank the Florida Panthers 3-0.
