VANCOUVER PROVINCE:  Mike Green snapped a 3-3 tie as the Washington Capitals edged the Vancouver Canucks 4-3. The Canucks also learned center Ryan Kesler (knee) could miss at least two weeks.

WINNIPEG FREE PRESS: The Jets lost goalie Ondrej Pavelec to an undisclosed injury in their 4-2 loss to the New York Rangers.

SPECTOR’S NOTE: After entering the Olympic break among the NHL’s hottest teams and seemingly poised to jump into a playoff berth, the Jets have won only two of their last ten games and fell six points out of a wild card spot.

CALGARY SUN: Corban Knight’s shootout goal lifted the Flames to a 4-3 win over the Dallas Stars.

EDMONTON JOURNAL: Tomas Tatar tallied in a shootout to give the Detroit Red Wings a 2-1 victory.

TORONTO SUN: Jonathan Bernier’s injury isn’t considered very serious, but if he should miss time they’re in good hands with James Reimer.

MONTREAL GAZETTE: Lars Eller is pleased to be reunited with former linemates Alexander Galchenyuk and Brendan Gallagher.
