TWINCITIES.COM/CHICAGO SUN-TIMES: Ryan Suter and Jared Spurgeon had two-point performances as the Minnesota Wild doubled up the Chicago Blackhawks 4-2 to tie their best-of-seven division final at two games apiece. Patrick Sharp and Michal Handzus tallied for the Blackhawks.

SPECTOR’S NOTE: So far home ice advantage has been key in this series, with each team winning both their games at home. The Wild have made this a series and are giving the Blackhawks all they can handle. 

NEW YORK DAILY NEWS/TRIBLIVE.COM:  Despite being in mourning over the passing of his mother, Martin St. Louis joined the Rangers for Game Five against the Pittsburgh Penguins. Mats Zuccarello and Derick Brassard collected three points each while Chris Kreider and Ryan McDonagh had two point performances to lift the Rangers to a 5-1 victory over the Penguins and staving off elimination. The Penguins still lead the series three games to two.

SPECTOR’S NOTE: St. Louis didn’t collect any points but his personal loss and decision to play obviously provided his teammates with a significant emotional boost. 

LOS ANGELES TIMES: Marian Gaborik has proven a perfect fit with the LA Kings, while the Anaheim Ducks have called up goalie John Gibson.
