PITTSBURGH POST-GAZETTE: Penguins star Sidney Crosby will undergo wrist surgery and isn’t expected to miss any time in 2014-15. It’s unknown when Crosby suffered the injury but it did plague him during the playoffs.

CBC.CA: The San Jose Sharks re-signed Tommy Wingels to a three-year, $7.4 million contract, and re-upped James Sheppard to a one-year, $1.3 million deal.

SUN-SENTINEL.COM: The Florida Panthers have signed NHL veteran defenseman Greg Zanon.

SWISS HOCKEY NEWS: NHL veteran Pierre-Marc Bouchard has signed a one-year contract with EV Zug of the Swiss League A. Bouchard played more than 600 NHL games.

CHICAGO SUN-TIMES: Blackhawks assistant coach Jamie Kompon is leaving the club to become head coach and general manager of the WHL’s Portland Winterhawks.
