  1. Just go back to 5 on 5 East vs West game like it used to be. Best of both conferences and let them play normal hockey.

  2. Name All-Stars, give them bonuses, cancel the game. Playoffs going into June is a shame.

  3. Best thing would be to cancel the format altogether as all it does it risk the health of the players in season. It forces a cramped NHL season which leads to more back-to-back games which also have an adverse affect on the players. Another option might be to do it like the NFL and hold a All-star game the week of the Stanley cup Finals with players nit in the finals. I personally have not watched the All-star game in many years as it means nothing as is nothing more than a grown-up version of the pond hockey I played as a kid.

  4. How about scrapping the damned thing and shorten the season by a week. Maybe do away with the week off as well and bring the finals back closer to May!

  5. Here’s another suggestion – which would make the
game more meaningful – pit the best of the previous year’s draft picks – as selected by the scouts – east and west in a match to decide where the next game game would be held – east or west.
