  1. Certainly makes a case for having a goalie a team can rely on. But if you look at the league standings at the 41-game mark (the half-way point) they sat 15th overall with a 21 16 4 46 points 115gf 107ga +8 record and, in the Western Conference alone that situated them 6th overall, tied with Vegas.

In their 19 games since then (the most so far in the second half overall), they find themselves in 19th place with a 7 8 4 18 pts 52gf 58ga -6 record. That’s good for 8th overall in the Western Conference, just 1 point up on Nashville (who have 4 games in hand) and 2 up on St. Louis, Chicago, Winnipeg and Anaheim (who each hold 3 games in hand on tnem) and 3 ahead of San Jose who also have 4 games in hand.

They are in distinct danger of dropping down into the bottom 4. On the positive side, that puts them in a good lottery spot!

  2. Phil Kessel season stats

    Goals 12

    Assists 21

    Points 33

    • They have good burgers in Phoenix?
