TSN.CA: reports sources claiming the Toronto Maple Leafs are on the verge of dealing goaltender Justin Pogge to the Anaheim Ducks in exchange for a conditional draft pick. The deal is expected to be finalized on Monday, August 10th. To replace Pogge the Leafs are also expected to announce the signing of UFA goaltender Joey MacDonald.

SPECTOR'S NOTE: Hat tip to "David". Pogge won't get a chance to crack the Ducks roster next season unless the Ducks trade J.S. Giguere, who has a no-trade clause and apparently no desire to waive it. This could however be a long-term move for the Ducks should they either eventually move Giguere or they opt not to re-sign him following the 2010-11 season.
