Updates on Peter Forsberg's latest comeback attempt.
CBC.CA: Tim Wharnsby reports former NHL star Markus Naslund believes his friend Peter Forsberg could return to action this season and hopes he'll play for their hometown team MoDo in Sweden. Naslund has no doubt Forsberg will eventually play somewhere this season because he wants to suit up for Sweden at the 2010 Winter Olympics in Vancouver.
DENVER POST: Adrian Dater reports word is starting to bubble out of Sweden Forsberg might forego the NHL and instead return to action with MoDo.
BOSTON GLOBE: Fluto Shinzawa reports the Bruins are among several NHL teams kicking tires on Forsberg, joining Philadelphia, Vancouver and the NY Rangers.
SPECTOR'S NOTE: If Forsberg does opt to play for MoDo this season he couldn't return to the NHL without clearing waivers first, which would likely kill off any interest from NHL clubs thinking of signing him.
