TSN.CA: cited a Sovetsky Sports report claiming Phoenix Coyotes forward Viktor Tikhonov has returned to Russia and will suit up for CSKA Moscow of the KHL.

SPECTOR'S NOTE: TSN's reports this move could be similar to that of Nikita Filatov of the Columbus Blue Jackets, who by mutual consent between the Jackets and his former KHL team was allowed to return to Russia to play out the season and is expected to return to his NHL team next season. Tikhonov played 61 games with the Coyotes last season but has spent this season in the AHL.
