CALGARY SUN: Lance Bouma scored the game winner and set up another goal as the Calgary Flames defeated the San Jose Sharks 4-1. The win had special meaning for the Flames players, as many of their fathers attended the game.
THE VANCOUVER SUN: The Vancouver Canucks struggles continue, falling 5-3 to the Minnesota Wild. The Canucks have gone 3-4 since the All-Star break. Canucks goalie Ryan Miller was beaten five times on 18 shots, including two power-play goals.
EDMONTON JOURNAL: Nail Yakupov’s power-play goal proved the game winner as the Oilers edged the New Jersey Devils 2-1.
TORONTO STAR: Goaltender James Reimer gets his third straight start when the Toronto Maple Leafs face the New York Rangers on Tuesday. Starter Jonathan Bernier is still recovering from illness.
OTTAWA CITIZEN: The clock is ticking on contract talks between the Senators and pending UFA defenseman Marc Methot, who claims he wants to stay in Ottawa. If a deal isn’t reached before the March 2 trade deadline, Methot could be dealt.

MONTREAL GAZETTE: Former Montreal Canadiens head coach Claude Ruel passed away yesterday at the age of 76. He’s remembered for being an influential coach within their system. He also had two stints as the Canadiens head coach, winning a Stanley Cup in 1969.
