MONTREAL GAZETTE: Max Pacioretty scored twice and Carey Price made 31 saves as the Montreal Canadiens downed the Columbus Blue Jackets 3-1. The win keeps the Canadiens atop the Eastern Conference standings with 81 points.

TORONTO STAR/WINNIPEG FREE PRESS: James van Riemsdyk’s overtime goal lifted the Toronto Maple Leafs to a 4-3 win over the Winnipeg Jets. It was only the Leafs second win in February.

OTTAWA SUN: Kyle Turris had a three-point night and Milan Michalek collected two assists to lead the Ottawa Senators to a 4-1 win over the Florida Panthers. The win was call-up goalie Andrew Hammond’s second in as many starts for the Senators.

EDMONTON JOURNAL: Ryan Getzlaf’s fluky goal off Edmonton defenseman Justin Schultz in the third period gave the Anaheim Ducks a 2-1 victory over the Oiler.

CALGARY HERALD/CALGARY SUN: The Calgary Flames have returned prospect Sam Bennett to his junior team in Kingston. Goaltender Joni Ortio suffered a high-ankle sprain playing for the Flames AHL farm team and could miss six-to-eight weeks.
