LOS ANGELES TIMES: Jeff Carter and Dwight King each tallied a goal and an assist as the Los Angeles Kings beat the Columbus Blue Jackets 4-3. The loss spoiled the 1,000th career NHL game of Blue Jackets winger Scott Hartnell, who tallied a goal in the game.
ARIZONA REPUBLIC: Shootout goals by Lucas Lessio and Antoine Vermette (left) gave the Arizona Coyotes a 3-2 win over the Chicago Blackhawks. Coyotes goalie Mike Smith made 36 saves plus two in the shootout.
CSNPHILLY.COM: Philadelphia Flyers goalie Steve Mason will undergo arthroscopic surgery on his troublesome right knee. It has yet to be determined how long Mason will be sidelined.
LOS ANGELES TIMES: Anaheim Ducks goalie Frederik Andersen remains day-to-day after being struck on the back of his head by a falling net during a recent game against Tampa Bay. He could miss the Ducks’ upcoming game against the Florida Panthers.
