THE DENVER POST: Cody McLeod’s gritty play (“30 minutes worth of penalties that included two fighting majors… four shots, five hits, two blocked shots and contributed to a flawless penalty kill.”) was the spark needed to lift the Colorado Avalanche to a 4-1 win over the Dallas Stars.

THE DALLAS MORNING NEWS: Stars forward Tyler Seguin could miss 3-6 weeks with a knee injury suffered in Friday’s game against the Florida Panthers when he was clipped by Panthers defenseman Dmitry Kulikov. Patrick Eaves suffered a concussion in the same game when struck by a shot but didn’t suffer facial fractures. The status of Ales Hemsky (lower-body injury) has yet to be determined.
MIAMI HERALD: Panthers defenseman Dmitry Kulikov has been suspended pending a hearing with the NHL player safety department regarding his hit on Seguin.
