STLTODAY.COM: The St. Louis Blues leapfrogged the Nashville Predators into first in the Central Division with a 2-1 win over the Chicago Blackhawks. Jake Allen made 38 saves while David Backes and Olli Jokinen tallied for the Blues.

THE WASHINGTON POST: Braden Holtby made 35 saves while Evgeny Kuznetsov and Mike Green scored to give the Washington Capitals a 2-1 victory over the Detroit Red Wings.

PHILLY.COM: Steve Mason made 46 saves as the Philadelphia Flyers downed the Pittsburgh Penguins 4-1 to complete a sweep of their season series. Brayden Schenn had a goal and two assists while Jakub Voracek had a goal and an assist for the Flyers.
