THE DALLAS MORNING NEWS: Dallas Stars captain Jamie Benn’s rehab from offseason hip surgery has begun. The 2015 Art Ross Trophy winner said he started skating last week, but will ensure he doesn’t rush his recovery. Benn believes he’ll be fully recovered when the regular season begins on Oct. 8.
CHICAGO SUN-TIMES: New Blackhawks winger Marko Dano hopes to emulate new teammate and fellow Slovakian Marian Hossa, who already called Dano to welcome him to his new club.
THE TENNESSEAN: The Nashville Predators traded forward Taylor Beck to the Toronto Maple Leafs in exchange for minor-league forward Jamie Devane. Beck filed for salary arbitration earlier this month, and uncertainty over his place on the Predators roster next season may be the reason behind the trade.
