NHL.COM: Montreal Canadiens winger Max Pacioretty is progressing well in his rehab from knee surgery. Pacioretty injured his knee during a workout in June, but he is continuing to work out around the injury. He is expected to miss most of training camp, but he has a history of healing faster than expected.

THE PROVINCE: The pressure is on Vancouver Canucks center Bo Horvat to stage a strong follow-up to his promising rookie season.
SPECTOR’S NOTE: Horvat is expected to start the season as the Canucks’ third-line center. Recently acquired Brandon Sutter is slated to be their second-line center.
EDMONTON JOURNAL: The Oilers recently acquired Eric Gryba from the Ottawa Senators, but it remains to be seen if he has a long-term future in Edmonton. Gryba is eligible next summer for unrestricted free agency.
CALGARY HERALD: The Flames will reveal their plans next week for their “CalgaryNEXT” arena megaproject, which includes a new arena, a football stadium and an amateur sports field house.
