AZCENTRAL.COM: Led by Max Domi and Anthony Duclair, the Arizona Coyotes rookies are making a significant all-around difference for the club this season.

SPECTOR’S NOTE: The Coyotes are currently in third place in the Pacific Division. If the season ended today, they’d be in the playoffs. While it remains to be seen how they’ll fare over the course of this season, the Coyotes are a club worth keeping an eye on. 

NBC SPORTS: Thanks to improved goaltending from Sergei Bobrovsky, the Columbus Blue Jackets have won six of their last nine games.

SPECTOR’S NOTE: The Jackets are still near the bottom of the Eastern Conference standings, but are only five points out of a wild-card playoff berth. While they still have a lot of ground to gain in the standings, their situation isn’t as dire as it was entering this month. 

THE BUFFALO NEWS: After a knee injury cut short defenseman Josh Gorges’ first season with the Sabres, he’s enjoying a bounce-back performance in 2015-16.

NHL Injury Update.

OTTAWA CITIZEN: Senators winger Bobby Ryan was fortunate to avoid a serious shoulder injury in their recent game against Columbus, but he remains questionable for Saturday’s contest against the Flyers. Senators defenseman Patrick Wiercioch, however, suffered a suspected concussion in that game and won’t play today.

THE BOSTON GLOBE: Bruins forward Frank Vatrano is listed as day-to-day with an upper-body injury.

STARTRIBUNE.COM: The Minnesota Wild have placed defenseman Marco Scandella (lower-body injury) on injured reserve.

NHL.COM:  Winnipeg Jets forward Blake Wheeler’s status for tonight’s game against the Coyotes is unknown after taking a Dustin Byfuglien shot in the face during practice on Friday.
