ARIZONA REPUBLIC: Max Domi’s first career NHL hat trick lifted the Arizona Coyotes to a 4-3 win over the Edmonton Oilers.

TSN.CA:  The Chicago Blackhawks yesterday announced a three-year contract extension for head coach Joel Quenneville.

SPECTOR’S NOTE: No surprise. Given the Blackhawks success under Quenneville, it would’ve been shocking if they didn’t re-sign him. 

WINNIPEG FREE PRESS: A ticket to a Winnipeg Jets game is no longer as difficult to get as it once was, leading to questions if the bloom is off the rose among local fans.

SPECTOR’S NOTE: Attendance is still around 99 percent capacity, but I think some Jets fans are getting tired of the club failing to improve. Since relocating to Winnipeg in 2011, the Jets have been mired in mediocrity. They’re not so bad that they’re among the NHL’s very worst teams, but rarely good enough to make the playoffs. 

ESPN.COM: With the Feb 29 trade deadline on the horizon, parity among NHL teams could have an effect upon the trade market.

MONTREAL GAZETTE: Chanel Leszczynski, girlfriend of Canadiens forward Alex Galchenyuk, was arrested over the weekend regarding a case of domestic violence. Galchenyuk has chosen not to press charges.
