ESPN.COM:  Emily Kaplan and Greg Wyshynski also recently had the Lightning atop their “way-too-early 2019 power rankings”. The Predators, Jets, Capitals and Golden Knights round out the top ten, while the Coyotes are projected to finish at the bottom of this list.

WINNIPEG FREE PRESS: Winger Nic Petan’s agent feels the Jets might not be the best fit for his client. Petan, 23, is a restricted free agent who spent most of this season with the Jets’ AHL farm team.

MONTREAL GAZETTE: The Canadiens fired Ontario amateur scout Steve Ludzik Jr.

  1. Nic Petan …. speedy … talented …. but small … that’s prob why it’s hard for him to crack the team that has depth …. and all depth bigger (at least I think they all are)

Jets gave him almost 100 games …. he’s done fine in the AHL

    …. an Eastern team perhaps?

  2. Re : SC ’19 odds…. I’ll wait until Ottw reaches 500:1 just like Vegas was at one point …. then I’ll drop my McKenzie King just to say I did it

    • To clarify for the posters here from South of the border… McKenzie King was a former Canadian Prime Minister and is on our $50 bill
