NHL Early Look: Russian Invasion Fueling Rangers Revival

  1. I think trading Kreider would be a huge mistake even if he wants 7 million on a long term contract. Fit players that are workout rats usually play at high level longer than others. Being in the top 5 in the league for deflections in front of the net in the last 3 years. Players with some grit and speed and skill are hard to come by and I would list Kreider as one of the top 5. The Rangers will have plenty of skill players but for the playoffs grit players are needed. It would be a poor decision to let one of the best leave. Not only that but a player that loves New York.

  2. This is Jeff Gorton’s team, not John Davidson’s. Gorton’s the guy who has overseen the draft and trades. Why is John Davidson suddenly being given credit for Gorton’s work?
