  1. Closest to Henri’s 11 cups are Beliveau & Cournoyer with 10 each, Claude Provost with 9, and Rocket and Red Kelly with 8 each. Their personal records are all pretty safe too.

At the other end of the spectrum, with records no one wants (unless they are looking simply for longevity) are Phil Housley, 1495 games and Bill Gadsby, 1,248 games without hoisting the cup.

  2. Although not necessarily “unassailable” these team records for the gap in years either between thwie last cup win or for their first (for continuous existing franchises) are ones that each can hopefully be eliminated at the end of every season – listed from most to least heading for the 2021 finals (current Vegas odds to win in brackets):

    Toronto – 54 – since last (+1000)
    Vancouver – 51 – never won (+7500)
    Buffalo – 51 – never won (+7500)
    Philadelphia – 46 – since last (+1700)
    Winnipeg/Arizona – 41 – never won (+5000)
    NY Islanders – 38 – since last (+2400)
    Atlanta/Calgary – 32 – since last (+2500)
    Edmonton – 31 – since last (+2600)
    San Jose – 29 – never won (+10000)
    Montreal – 28 – since last (+1300)
    Ottawa – 28 – never won (+70000)
    NY Rangers – 27 – since last (+4000)
    Florida – 27 – never won (+2300)
    Minnesota/Dallas – 22 – since last (+2900)
    Nashville – 22 – never won (+7000)
    Atlanta/Winnipeg – 21 – never won (+3500)
    Columbus – 21 – never won (+6500)
    Colorado – 20 – since last (+750)
    Minnesota Wild – 20 – never won (+4000)
    New Jersey – 18 – since last (+7500)
    Carolina – 15 – since last (+1600)
    Anaheim – 14 – since last (+5000)
    Detroit – 13 – since last (+50000)
    Boston – 10 – since last (+800)
    Los Angeles – 7 – since last (+10000)
    Chicago – 6 – since last (+5500)
    Pittsburgh – 4 – since last (+2500)
    Washington – 3 – since last (+2700)
    Vegas – 3 – never won (+700 favorites)
    St. Louis – 2 – since last (+1700)
    Tampa Bay – 1 – since last (+750)

  3. Not sure if it’s a record or unassailable but I rarely see Ken Dryden mentioned.

Aside from winning the Conn Smythe and Stanley Cup before winning the Calder he must have the best winning % in the league.

Ken Dryden won the Stanley Cup in 75% of his years played. 6 cups in 8 years played.

  4. 19 consecutive playoff series wins will not be topped.
