I am posting this only as catharsis as pretty much everyone knows what follows: I knew the Habs would lose game three after squandering a 4 minute power play. Did they get a shot on net?
I see two reasons:
The Leafs pressure the Habs on the PP because the Habs haven’t established Toffoli or Caulfield as a sniper. Neither are Matthews whose one timer keeps the Habs in their penalty killing lanes but really, how hard is it to one time a shot at least once in a two minute PP?
Zone entries are hideous. Either the Habs don’t get in cleanly or they don’t recover pucks. In, out, repeat.
Well, so much for the catharsis angle. I don’t feel better. Is it too early for a drink?
