First, I must acknowledge that hockey history occurred on Friday night. Washington Capitals captain Alex Ovechkin scored two goals in a 4-1 win over the Winnipeg Jets to move past Gordie Howe into second place on the all-time NHL goals list with 802. He sits 92 goals behind leader Wayne Gretzky. That game was one of 11 played on Dec. 23 before the NHL holiday break from Dec. 24 to 26.
I am also on my annual holiday break. The next update to this site will be Tuesday, Dec. 27, 2022. Happy holidays, everyone!

Chrism lets be honest. The only reason you’re cheering for Ovi is because he isn’t Canadian.
I won’t deny there is a small piece of that in there. Guilty as charged. But it’s more than that. The biggest reason is generational. I got to see the Mario’s and Gretzkys as a young child. Little bit more of le manifique after his unretirement. But the crosby ovi generation is right in my wheelhouse. I’d say I’d be rooting the same for crosby if he was healthy his career and chasing Gretzky. He’s Canadian. But he’s also a pen so not the greatest example. So it’s not the only reason. It’s a very small part of the reason.

They need to get a deal done for a 2nd pairing, LD man A Big Tough stay at home Shut down d/man from the Habs Edmunson Or CBJ Vladislav Gavrikov and “Not Chychrun”
That should be there 1st two choices❓
They also need a Big physical 6-7 d man for the playoff run and not Murray.
Now they sit in 9th spot with 3 teams with 2-3 game in hand they could be in 12th Spot come January 2nd……❗️🥶 ❓
