  1. A ‘fictional sea creature from the film Clash of The Titans??” Hell, one of the entries from The Pirates Of The Caribbean used it a few years before that. Besides, the legend of the kraken dates back to Icelandic folklore of the 13 Century and pops up in classic literature since then time and again.

    • Clash of the Titans came out like 20 years before Pirates of the Caribbean…

  2. Clash of The Titans came out in 2010 … so, by your reckoning, we won’t see any Pirates Of The Caribbean emerge until the 2030s? Are we – and he – talking about the same film?

    • Just kidding. I know you were referring to the 1981 version – but somehow I don’t think Bob Duff was. Hell, if we want to get technical we could go back to 1954’s 20,000 Leagues Under The Sea starring the recently-departed Kirk Douglas.

The point is, the kraken has been around a lot longer in literature and film than either version of Clash of The Titans
