A ‘fictional sea creature from the film Clash of The Titans??” Hell, one of the entries from The Pirates Of The Caribbean used it a few years before that. Besides, the legend of the kraken dates back to Icelandic folklore of the 13 Century and pops up in classic literature since then time and again.
Clash of the Titans came out like 20 years before Pirates of the Caribbean…
Clash of The Titans came out in 2010 … so, by your reckoning, we won’t see any Pirates Of The Caribbean emerge until the 2030s? Are we – and he – talking about the same film?
Just kidding. I know you were referring to the 1981 version – but somehow I don’t think Bob Duff was. Hell, if we want to get technical we could go back to 1954’s 20,000 Leagues Under The Sea starring the recently-departed Kirk Douglas.
The point is, the kraken has been around a lot longer in literature and film than either version of Clash of The Titans
