Listing Ceci as a “trade chip” is wishful-thinking. Dubas has said that he’ll be out “quite a while” which, to me, suggests more than a couple of weeks – I’ve heard possibly a month – which means sometime past the trade deadline.
I seriously doubt anyone is going to take even what’s left of his $4.5 mil cap hit under those circumstances – UNLESS there is an enticing sweetener going along with him.

Yes Ceci will be traded along with the leafs 2nd round pick in 2020 …to help move the contract to the Ref Wings for Trevor Daley …this make sense does it not ..LOL …
