  1. Does anyone know how the games are going to be televised

    • That has yet to be determined.

    • Leo. I’ve been trying to get an answer on that one as well. One would have thought there would be some information by now. I pray that if it’s NBCSN, that they don’t give too many games to Doc Emerick. God, I’m 64, and I’ve heard some bad callers, but he annoys the hell out of me. I’m a first time writer here, so I’m expecting to get pasted. I know a lot of people like him. I lost it when he used the line, ” a wonderful save.” I prefer some intensity in my game. I’m in the Bruins market, yeah, our announcers over the years are and have been nuts. Just saying. The TV thing, man, I’m aching to see something. The reruns aren’t cutting it.

      • I’m with you, Tony, a reminder of time remaining in the period every thirty seconds does wear a bit after about, oh, thirty seconds.

  2. I am not worried about the quality of play as the competiveness will ratchet up quickly. No one ever complained about the quality of hockey during tournaments like the Canada Cup, or summit series games that happened after players had the summer off.

If there is rust in their games it will be on both ends of the ice and most fans won’t notice – unless your own team’s goalie has fallen out of their groove and starts out flat. We won’t notice as much with any of the skaters.

  3. You can always log into nhl app and watch some free games from last season and watch the October and November games to hopefully get a small taste of what we can expect to see.
