  1. I hope I am wrong but does anyone think they could start early Jan ? I would be more worried about what might happen Jan 20 when the new President takes over . Heard sports maybe the first thing he shuts down . No way that should start with that in the air .

    • I honestly don’t believe that there will be a season.

  2. I’m really surprised that the Tampa situation hasn’t escalated. I mean, they waived Tyler Johnson obviously as a show of force but when he cleared I thought they were going to lose one of those three young guns…then nada. Killhorn is on a good contract so the fact that he hasn’t moved is mind blowing – I really thought my Habs would have taken him and maybe demand something extra, but we signed a better player in Toffoli so can’t be too mad. Tyler Johnson they’ll have to give up at least a 2nd, maybe more now…but I mean, Tampa is going to be in a world of pain if they don’t figure this out ASAP. Best guess they need to clear 9-10mm? That’s Tyler Johnson and someone decent.

On a side note, Josh Anderson is either going to be a home run of the century or an albatross.

    • Beginning to think there is something we don’t know, like perhaps Stamkos needing another long rehab after the repeat of the core surgery (sport hernia) he had repaired for the second time after the playoffs; or a handshake with someone known to the other GM’s….

    • Or, they could deal with Detroit for the Zetterberg contract and it’s almost $7 mil LTIR which has one more year to run (Yzerman won’t be needing it) and at least relieve some of the cap pressure through that ploy – unless there’s strong internal indication Stamkos will start the year on LTIR.
